About me

I have over 35 years of experience in general management and software development.

I was the founder and president of QA Labs Inc. Within 8 years it grew to become the largest Canadian software testing company (125 employees) prior to its merger.

I was also the founder and president of the Software Productivity Centre Inc. (SPC), an international resource centre. Over a period of 12 years the company grew from a small consulting group to a software company offering products and services with a staff of 25 experts.

Previously, I was a Vice President at MacDonald Dettwiler (MDA), a Canadian aerospace company. During my 10 year tenure I moved through various responsibilities from senior developer to department manager and finally Vice President with responsibility over 350 staff in charge of engineering and operations.

After the sale of my last company in 2006, I moved to Germany and joined a group of senior executives who served start-ups and small/medium companies with free consulting in all business matters. During this 5-year period in Munich, I consulted with over 40 companies in a diverse range of industries and business challenges.

After my return to Vancouver, I continued coaching companies in the region. I focus on areas of corporate management, competitive positioning, market strategy, psychological profiling, management of change, quality management and process improvement. I also serve on the Board of several companies.

I received a B.Sc. (Munich, Germany) and M.Sc. (McGill University, Montreal, Canada), and MBA (SFU, Vancouver, Canada).
